 Movie Perks is a program in which members are able to earn points and rewards for each dollar spent at a West Wind Drive-In or Santa Cruz cinema location.

Movie Perks Points+

 All of the Points rewards as above plus the following: 

  • Earn 2 points per $1 spent on all applicable purchases
  • 1 monthly ticket credit valid for one regular 2D movie ticket 
  • Unused ticket credits roll over and never expire for active members
  • 20% discount on concessions (certain exceptions may apply)
  • Waived online ticketing fees
  • Upgrade ticket to a premium format at Santa Cruz Cinema for a small premium
  • $9.99 monthly 

Movie Perks Points+ is the paid monthly membership tier of West Wind Drive-ins’ and Santa Cruz Cinema’s Movie Perks loyalty club. In addition to the benefits available for Points members, Points+ members get one ticket per month that rolls over if unused, double points per $1 spent, 20% off concessions every visit, and waived online ticketing fees. 

$9.99 per month (member price) plus applicable taxes.

All Points+ memberships provide one FREE 2D ticket (certain restrictions apply) per month plus other benefits. Don’t forget – you can also upgrade your ticket to a premium format like RealD 3D at Santa Cruz Cinema for a small premium.

Points+ is the paid monthly membership tier of our Movie Perks loyalty program. In addition to the benefits available for Points members, Points+ members get one FREE ticket per month that rolls over if unused and can be shared with friends or family, 20% off concessions (certain exceptions apply) every visit, earn two points per dollar spent that can be redeemed for movie tickets, concession deals, and waived online ticketing fees.

No, if you choose to join Movie Perks as a Points+ member, you can do so without needing to join Points first.

Movie Perk Points - Head over to our unsubscribe page.

Movie Perks Points+ - Login to your Movie Perks account and click "Cancel Subscription" to cancel. Any unused Points+ movie credits will expire 12 months after your cancellation date. All other Points+ benefits will end on the last date of your last billing cycle.

All of our Movie Perks benefits can be accessed directly within the West Wind Drive-ins or Santa Cruz Cinema App. The apps are available on both the Google Play store and Apple App store.

It’s simple! Just show the QR code (membership ID) on your phone to the cashier at the time of purchase and receive 20% off your concession order! Your discount will be automatically applied when ordering through the app. The discount cannot be combined with other coupons or offers.

 Not a Movie Perks Points+ member? You still earn points for each qualifying purchase at the concession stand; be sure to show your QR code (membership ID) through the app! 

All in-theatre dining and concession purchases are eligible, except alcoholic beverages, dairy (wherever prohibited by state law) and select merchandise.
Santa Cruz Cinema and all West Wind Drive-In locations with the exception of our Santa Barbara, California location.

Points earned through Movie Perks can be redeemed for tickets, concessions, upgrades to premium movies, special offers, sneak previews, early bird access, and other Member-only benefits. Points can be redeemed online or through the app. 

It’s pretty simple. Movie Perks Points+ members receive one movie credit (free ticket) per month as long as they have an active membership. Each movie credit is valid for one ticket to a 2D movie at all participating theatres. Plus, you can upgrade your ticket to a premium format at a lesser cost. Unused credits roll over and never expire for active members.
Log into your Movie Perks account and select the ticket for the desired showtime. The available movie credit (free ticket) will be redeemable in the shopping cart.
After redeeming your points for a free ticket, it will populate as a “credit” on your account. Movie Perks members can use these credits toward any regular 2D movie at all participating theatres. You can upgrade any ticket to a premium format for a small upcharge. If a Movie Perks member becomes inactive, meaning there was no purchases or activity for 6 months, credits expire 6 months after. Credits issued to active Points+ members never expire.
No. Movie Perks members have the option to use available credits, or pay the listed ticket price at any time. If you have available credits but do not wish to use them for a particular transaction, you can save the credit(s) for a future transaction. If a Movie Perks member becomes inactive, credits expire after 6 months of inactivity. Credits issued to active Points+ members never expire.
Save them for later, of course! All unused ticket credits roll over and don’t expire for active Points+ members. If an account is terminated or canceled, the credits remain available for use for a period of 12 months. If an account becomes inactive, meaning there is no activity for 6 months prior, the credits will remain available for use for the following 6 months. 
No. Stay as long or as little as you like! You can cancel your membership at any time.

Members of the Movie Perks Points and Points+ programs begin earning rewards immediately upon signup.

No. All members must be at least 16 years of age. 

Nope! There is no waiting on a physical card to arrive in the mail. All of the benefits are accessible via the West Wind Drive-In or Santa Cruz Cinema App or online at westwinddi.com/movie-perks or santacruzcinema.com/movie-perks as soon as you join.

Unfortunately not. In order to receive the concession discount you must show your QR code (membership ID) at the time of purchase.

Nope! Members discounts apply every day our theaters are open. 

We accept most major credit cards. Monthly payments will be made on an automatic, recurring basis. Gift cards or gift certificates cannot be used for Movie Perks membership payments.
No. Credits may not be partially used; the entire credit is used in booking one ticket.
Movie credits themselves cannot be transferred to another member. However, you can use any available credits to purchase regular 2D tickets for yourself or for any companion, family member or friend.
A member can use any number of available rewards or movie credits in a single ticket transaction.
Absolutely. Movie Perks members can share their tickets with anyone they want. However, ticket credits themselves cannot be transferred to other Movie Perks members. 
Yes. You can purchase tickets and reserve seats (at Santa Cruz Cinema) in advance with your available credits—just like you would for any movie.
Member benefits are only available on westwinddi.com or santacruzcinema.com, the West Wind Drive-Ins and Santa Cruz Cinema apps and at the theatre Box Office.
Yes there is an online ticketing fee. However, fees are waived for all online purchases from the app and online for active Movie Perks Points+ members.
Absolutely! However, there may be an additional up-charge for premium formats such as 3D. Movie Perks and Perks+ members may upgrade to a premium format at a small premium!
If the credit card on record cannot be charged, the membership will be canceled and we will send an email notifying you of the cancellation, which will go into effect on the date which would have been your next billing cycle.
Yes. We will charge the credit card on record for the member price, typically on the 30th day of the billing cycle. The exact billing date for the next monthly billing will be displayed on your account.

You can update your credit card for monthly recurring charges by logging into your account and editing your payment information. 

There are no additional discounts or family memberships available at this time.
To request a refund, log in to your account or go to the theatre box office up until the start of the showtime. No refunds will be issued after the movie has started. 
The same way you do now! Purchase in the West Wind Drive-In or Santa Cruz App, online at westwinddi.com or santacruzcinema.com, or scan your QR code at the box office to ensure you get your points.
Unless the membership fee has changed, we will NOT send any notification prior to charging the credit card for the membership renewal.
The membership fee and terms of enrollment will not be changed during the course of the membership month. However, we reserve the right to change the membership fee and terms of enrollment at the time of monthly renewal. If the membership fee and terms of enrollment are changed, we will send an email notification to members prior to renewal with instructions for cancellation of the account.
Yes, at Santa Cruz Cinema, where reserved seating is available, Movie Perks members can select seats in advance without online fees. This does not apply for our West Wind Drive-In locations.

Contact your bank or credit agency to update your mailing information and billing zip code for the card account. The billing zip code for your Movie Perks account must match the issuing agency’s records. Once that change has been confirmed, log into your account.

Click the “Manage Your Membership” menu within your account profile to view payment details.

Click “Edit Payment” to enter the updated card info, including your new billing zip code, and click save.

Nope! You can re-enroll at any time.
